Our Light Night Video

We had great fun and also learnt a lot when we worked with Zumtobel and Bega lighting to create a participatory event for Light Night

4 teams of volunteers – some of them our pledgers – including students, designers, architects, teachers, local residents worked to create lighting effects on various parts of the Walkways and Landing Stages

At 10pm the public were encouraged to walk along the structure and experience The Flyover in a different way to it’s usual use – that of simply getting from one side of the road to the other!

We found that people stopped and chatted, experienced different views of the city and began to imagine how the space could become part of city life in the future

Take a look at our video by Liverpool Live TV which explains a bit more and shows some of the great affects we were able to achieve in this short temporary installation. It’s taught us lots for the future design process

Social Media Respones

Friends of the Flyover have had such an overwhelming response from the public on social media platforms, so we’ve decided to share a few postive opinions about the provocation…

Some great reasons to keep The Flyover

We’ve had some great quotes from our supporters about why they feel The Flyover offers a good resource for the city.

So we’ve started putting a collection of these comments together with visuals for you to share as part of our campaign.
