Our Light Night Video

We had great fun and also learnt a lot when we worked with Zumtobel and Bega lighting to create a participatory event for Light Night

4 teams of volunteers – some of them our pledgers – including students, designers, architects, teachers, local residents worked to create lighting effects on various parts of the Walkways and Landing Stages

At 10pm the public were encouraged to walk along the structure and experience The Flyover in a different way to it’s usual use – that of simply getting from one side of the road to the other!

We found that people stopped and chatted, experienced different views of the city and began to imagine how the space could become part of city life in the future

Take a look at our video by Liverpool Live TV which explains a bit more and shows some of the great affects we were able to achieve in this short temporary installation. It’s taught us lots for the future design process

Provoking LiverpoolX

LiverpoolX is an awesome 24hr (& a bit) conference set up by those talented people at Archetype Studio.

After the hype of the last few days, they asked us to pop-in and ‘provoke’ their audience with news about The Flyover – so we did!

We Make liverpool at Liverpool X

We Make liverpool at Liverpool X

Some great questions from the floor, not all in total support, but provocations would be really boring if everyone agreed!

Our job over the coming months is to convince those who don’t automatically think this is a great idea of its value to the city
